We can respond to the requests and needs of the youngsters and actively involve the parents as well as caregivers in planning a nutritional diet appropriate for children. Tours of our kitchens and expeditions to our regional suppliers/partners are a thrilling experience, and not only for the little ones.
We believe that the right diet begins with good taste, so we pay close attention to quality, regional origin, and sustainable production when procuring our materials. Fresh, organic, and regional ingredients are more and more frequently a fundamental element. But these kitchens, the majority of them institutional in size, produce innumerable meals and employ production processes that are not conducive to the quality of the food. Delays during production are common and frequent, and long delivery and holding times do not improve the situation. The important nutrients in the meals suffer most.
Under normal circumstances, children always get the best meals when they are at home with their own families. So we have set as our objective to be nothing less than the “second-best” solution for healthy and tasty nutrition for the ones closest to your heart. The Hanseatic City of Hamburg, thanks to its many suppliers and operators of long-standing tradition and its immediate proximity to many different producers, is an outstanding location for this objective.
Our menus combine creative and varied dishes with set rituals and are oriented to the needs and wishes of children. Many people know the sense of anticipation when the Sunday roast is not far away. Our days of set dishes – from Meat Day to Vegetable Day to Noodle Day – have been designed to give our small leading actors this wonderful feeling of anticipation. Boredom is not an option, so we vary our recipes and orient them to the seasonable availability of our delicious ingredients. If it happens that one of our meals is not in line with the expectations of a child or parents, an alternative dish can be selected every day. Our menus are displayed well in advance and at regular intervals on our home page so that children, parents, and caregivers can examine them. They can all sit down together to look at what is coming or find out what it was that tasted especially good.
Since our objective is to be nothing less than the “second-best” solution for healthy and tasty nutrition for the ones dearest to you, we face an exciting, yet at the same time demanding challenge.
